65 cm high, 87cm based, plum and walnut. (1/2001)

This piece is only slightly anthropomorphic and therefore we know it is designed to convey an abstract force or energy. This piece was found in a temple near the sea and probably represents a primal force of sea or earth. Maybe even the sea goddess herself. In spite of, or better, because of the huge growth of human knowledge, humankind is very aware of the limits of its collective knowledge, especially regarding the earth's systems. This totem is most likely a manifestation of these limits and an acknowledgement of the unknown mystical aspects of life.
